Music Man Stingray 4 Natural 1977
Music Man is Leo Fender's second brand, created in the 1970s (a third, G&L, would later emerge). The Stingray, an active bass, was an immediate success upon its release. This 4-string Stingray is a pre-Ernie Ball, one of the very first, featuring a maple fretboard. It's a true player's instrument: originally black, the finish on its ash body has been removed, the tuners replaced with Schallers, and the bridge also replaced. Furthermore, it has been fitted with a Bartolini Jazz Bass-style bridge pickup, and the electronics have been upgraded accordingly. It weighs only 4.13 kg.
