The Alesis HD24 is a professional 24-track hard disk recorder capable of capturing 24 tracks of 24-bit audio at 44.1kHz or 48kHz, or 12 tracks at high-resolution 88.2kHz or 96kHz with the optional EC2 upgrade. It features 24 analog inputs and 24 analog outputs on balanced 1/4" TRS connectors at +4dBu, alongside 24-channel ADAT Optical I/O, making it equally at home as a standalone recording hub or integrated into a larger studio setup. Storage is handled via dual hot-swappable IDE hard drive bays supporting drives up to 2TB, and an Ethernet port allows convenient file transfer to a computer. Additional connectivity includes MIDI I/O, MTC out, ADAT Sync, and Word Clock in, while onboard editing tools - cut, copy, paste, track-move, and undo - mean basic arrangement work can be done without leaving the unit.
