Stylish PC Hi-Fi speakers _ Renchiespeaker

Up for sale is a pair of compact single-driver (full-range) desktop speakers from one of my DIY design projects: the Solo 70A.

Specifically designed for nearfield listening (desktop / PC setup), they also easily fill a room or small living room up to 15 m² (160 sq ft).

Technical Specs & Build

• Driver: MarkAudio CHR-70A (black cone). Full-range coverage, natural sound, precise imaging, and non-fatiguing listen.
• Design & Enclosure: 3D-printed triangular cabinet featuring a dual-cavity design and a rectangular front port. Integrated side panels add weight and aesthetic balance.
• Volume: ~9 Liters per enclosure.
• Weight: ~10 kg (~22 lbs) per speaker (very heavy and stable).
• Frequency Response: Reaches below 50 Hz at -6 dB (room boundary effect will naturally enhance the low end depending on placement).
• Finish: Removable fabric front cover.

Sound Impression

Impressive bass extension for their size: the driver goes surprisingly low on its own without needing a dedicated sub. Sound stays clear, detailed, and balanced even at higher volumes.

(Designer note: For high-volume listening, applying a high-pass filter around 43 Hz @ 24 dB/oct butterworth is recommended to protect the driver and minimize sub-bass distortion).
