The Slash Octave Fuzz is a 100 % analog pedal that combines a thick Fuzz Face/70s-style fuzz, a sub-octave, and a fuzzy upper octave, with independent levels for both octaves. The Sub Into Fuzz switch sends the lower octave into the fuzz for a huge, fat sound, while the upper octave provides more aggressive, psychedelic tones. It's particularly effective on single notes and riffs, with plenty of sustain and character, but can also become intentionally chaotic on chords. It's a rather unique and very versatile pedal, more suited to creating big fuzz sounds reminiscent of Hendrix, Jack White, or 70s rock than simply replicating Slash's sound.
