Epiphone Limited Edition Vivian Campbell “Holy Diver” Les Paul 2019 Black Aged Gloss w/ DiMarzio X2N & Hard Case

This is Vivian Campbell’s limited-edition Epiphone signature Les Paul, based on the Gibson Les Paul he used during the classic Dio era, including the recording of Holy Diver and The Last in Line. The model combines traditional Les Paul construction with a stripped-down, high-output configuration built around a pair of DiMarzio X2N humbuckers, brass hardware details, and several visual details reproduced from Campbell’s original guitar.

The back of the headstock carries both this guitar’s individual Epiphone serial number, 19061529083, and the additional stamped number 72987537. The latter is intentional and reproduces the serial number of Vivian Campbell’s original Dio-era Les Paul. The rear of the headstock also carries the Vivian Campbell signature graphic.

Construction consists of a mahogany body with maple top, single-ply cream binding on the body top and fingerboard, a glued-in 3-piece laminated maple neck with volute, Indian laurel fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, 22 medium-jumbo frets, 24.75" scale length, and brass nut.

The guitar is fitted with DiMarzio X2N humbuckers in both the neck and bridge positions. Controls remain traditional Les Paul layout with separate volume and tone controls for each pickup and a 3-way toggle selector.

Hardware includes an Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece, chrome vintage-style tuners, chrome hardware, knurled brass control knobs, and a brass output-jack plate.

The absence of a pickguard and pickup-selector surround / “poker chip” is factory-correct for this signature model and is not the result of missing parts. These details replicate the stripped-down configuration of Campbell’s original guitar.

The Black Aged Gloss finish has a deliberately low-sheen, satin-like appearance rather than a conventional high-gloss black Les Paul finish. The guitar presents very cleanly from the front, while the rear shows normal cosmetic signs of use under direct light.
