About this listing
2000 Yamano Fender American Vintage '62 Jazzmaster reissue in nitro Shell Pink finish with matching headstock. Yamano, the exclusive distributor of USA Gibson and Fender instruments in Japan, commissioned Fender to produce a limited run of matching headstock offsets in 2000, with each color being limited to 50 units.Allegedly Fender's Custom Shop oversaw/helped with production, and I'd believe it based on the craftsmanship of these early Yamano models (compared to the dozen or so USDM AVRI Jazzmasters I've owned over the years). This example has been played and naturally worn—it wears it gracefully.Neck pocket stamped March 18, 2000.100% original and fully functional.More photos on my website showcasing additional details.ConditionCosmetically the 26 year old instrument is in good shape with various dings, chips, scratches, and finish wear commensurate with age. Shell Pink finish has yellowed dramatically with age. Chrome hardware has patina. Pickguard has pick markings from play. Sticker ghosting on body.Frets have minor wear with no egregious divots. No buzzing/fretting out/etc. Back of the neck is clean with a handful of very minor dings.Modifications- NoneSpecs- Nitro finish- Alder body- Maple neck with slab rosewood fretboard- 25.5” scale- 7.25" radius and slender vintage frets- Slim oval 60's "C" neck profile- Nut measures 1.655”- Depth measures .829” at the first fret, and .905” at the twelfth- 8.25lbsSet up with D'Addario 10-46 strings, playing up and down the neck with proper intonation.Includes original G&G case, vibrato arm, bridge cover, strap, and factory case candy (sans-warranty card).Ships professionally packed and fully insured with signature confirmation.📸 Follow along on Instagram (@__imima__) for new finds and historical documentation.
