The X1S from SE Electronics is a high-quality large-diaphragm microphone and the direct successor to the top-selling X1. It scores not only with the highest dynamic range in its price class - which is considerably low despite the high quality - but also with its flexibility. In addition to voice and vocal recordings, the condenser microphone is also suitable for many other applications, such as miking drums, guitars and pianos. Supporting the user is a low cut (2 levels + flat) and a pad attenuation (10/20 dB) to better adapt to different situations.
The SE electronics X1S is a high-quality microphone for many recording applications. Thanks to the handmade condenser capsule, which was installed and tuned with high precision, the microphone is suitable not only for vocal recordings but also for any instrumental recordings.
The already remarkable technology of the predecessor has been taken to a higher level, allowing for better performance even at very high levels.
The changes even allow the processing of sound pressure levels up to 160 dB ! while the inherent noise is greatly reduced. Unbeatable for this price range!
Heavy guitars, fortissimo brass and booming kick drums? The built-in, two-stage pad circuit (-10 and -20 dB) makes it possible and allows close micing even with the loudest instruments.

Clutter, footfall noise and other unwanted noise on the low end? Just get rid of it: The X1-S offers low-cuts in the 80 or 160Hz range and provides more air in the bass range.
