This Pre Owned Martin 1972 D-28 Acoustic is in very good condition for its age. As you would expect it has been played a fair bit over the years and picked up some genuine light wear and tear which we always like to see on a guitar like this. It is a real pleasure to play and definitely offers that true D-28 tone.The body presents nicely with lots of minor cosmetic marks that you notice on closer inspection. Certainly nothing out of the ordinary for a guitar of this age. It has had a neck reset and re-fret done approximately 10 years ago. The neck is very clean and has no big marks that impact on the playability. There is some wear through the finish on the treble side from 1st to 5th fret and again more centrally from frets 7th-10th. The frets show some wear but have plenty of life in them yet. The fingerboard is in excellent condition. Hardware all presents well with the original Grover tuners in full working order. There is a non original strap button that has been added to the treble side heel of the neck.We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of D'Addario EJ16's and it's now ready to find a new home. Currently set up with a nice low action.
