About this listing
We have received a Fender Telecaster Deluxe Natural manufactured in 1974, as indicated by its serial number and pot dates. First released around 1973, the Telecaster Deluxe featured distinctive specifications such as two wide-range humbuckers, a large headstock similar to the Stratocaster of that era, and a three-point neck joint with a micro-tilt mechanism. The natural-finish ash body features a contoured back; the color has weathered over time, giving it a look that exudes vintage charm. The neck is made of one-piece maple; although the stamping is partially faded, the text at the end reads gTEL-DELX 73,h confirming it was manufactured in 1973. It is equipped with two gWide Range Humbuckersh developed by Seth Lover, known as the creator of the gPAF.h By utilizing proprietary CuNiFe magnets, these pickups deliver the rich, full-bodied tone characteristic of humbuckers while also producing the bright, clear sound typical of Fender. Both pickups are dated g204/74,h indicating they were manufactured in 1974. There are signs that the cover has been reattached. Some of the solder on the pots obscures the markings, making them unreadable in places, but we have confirmed that three of them were manufactured in 1973. Front Volume: 13773xx Front Tone: 1377345 Bridge Volume: xxxxxxx Bridge Tone: 1377345 The frets and nut have been replaced, and as a result, the entire guitar?except for the headstock top?has been refinished. Additionally, one rear pickup screw, the front volume knob, and the switch tip have been replaced; there is partial shielding inside the cavity, and there are traces of solder repairs on the pot areas. While there are signs of wear?such as scratches, dents, peeling paint, and weather checking?it remains in fairly good condition considering its age. This Telecaster Deluxe offers just the right amount of power while delivering a crisp, vintage-style tone. With the frets and nut having been replaced, itfs in excellent playing condition. Please take this opportunity to consider purchasing it. * Please note that due to the nature of this item, we are unable to transfer it between stores.
