1426 grams. All of my cymbals are thoroughly inspected to ensure there are absolutely no cracks whatsoever. No dents or keyholing (see pics). Edges are silky smooth which is crazy for a 60 year old cymbal. Only issues are cosmetic, such as staining/patina, light surface scratches, and ink fade as shown. Thankfully, this vintage “Concert Band” (barely visible) Medium Thin crash has all the information on it to know that it‘s definitely made between 1967-1971. From the small and crooked “Medium Thin” in hand stamped ink and the 3 dots that form a triangle in the middle of the Zildjian die stamp engraving. The other obvious clue of its age is that it doesn’t have a silk screened hollow Zildjian logo underneath since that wasn’t created until 1978. Those hollow logos were stamped on the bottom up until 1982, when they made the solid black logo for both bottom and top. These “Concert Band” Medium Thin crashes were meticulously hand selected unlike a normal A Series Medium Thin crash from this era. These are very difficult to find, especially in this condition. Priced accordingly.
This very rare, vintage beauty sounds rich, cutting, and bright with that glorious Zildjian shimmer. One of the world’s most popular crashes because of its versatility. Perfect for the stage and studio. Give this lovely piece of history a happy home! 👍
