Klemt Echolette tape delay, model E51, "Made in West Germany", between 1969 and 1974. The Echolette is 100% original with minor signs of age. This was the top-of-the-line model and the best that was made at the time, competing with the Dynacord Echocord S65. The E51 was the last one from the brand until it was bought by the then competitor "Dynacord". The Echolette's sound is incredible, "like an amazing cloud of harmonics". First of all, we are talking about an excellent tube preamp! At the input volume, increasing it to the end, you go from a clean sound to a completely warm and high-quality tube distortion, even reminiscent of British amplifiers made at the time. The Echolette has two echo speeds. Slow speed (Long) and fast speed (Short), creating more options in the variety/duration of the echoes.

The Echolette has 3 inputs in total, the first 2 are pre-amplified (already prepared for microphones) and a 3rd without pre-amplification. On the back, the DIN jacks have been replaced with jack outputs. The footswitch output has been replaced with a stereo plug with send-return. This is a huge advantage! (It's possible to reinstate the footswitch or add another footswitch output, and/or a mono send-return input/output). This model has a total of 6 tubes: 4 ECC83, 1 ECC82, and 1 EM84 (magic eye). It has 3 different echo types (ECHO 1 2 3), with the possibility of mixing them. There is also the possibility of doubling the echoes by adding a second track head, creating a back-and-forth effect. To do this, the "Reverb Duration" push-pull button is activated. A unique and incredible feature! If in this option we set the volume of the 3x heads to maximum and choose the fastest speed, we have reverb simulation!

The E51 has an interesting peculiarity: each of the 3x echoes is selected by a volume! Thus, we can combine different volumes in each echo. A refinement!
