Made in Japan in 1995/96, this Fender ST62-FR Stratocaster is a high-quality J-Craft era model, combining classic Strat styling with modern performance upgrades.
The guitar is in very good condition, with only one small ding on the back and otherwise just light signs of use. The frets are in very good shape.
Built with a bolt-on construction and a 25.5" scale, it features an alder body, a distinctive black-painted maple neck with an oval profile, and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and a flatter 12" radius for comfortable bending and modern playability.
Equipped with a Gotoh GE1996T double-locking tremolo and Gotoh tuners, this guitar offers excellent tuning stability, even under heavy tremolo use.
The pickup configuration includes a Dragster humbucker in the bridge and two ST single-coils (neck & middle), delivering a versatile range of tones—from classic Strat cleans to thicker, more aggressive overdrive sounds.
A rare and great-playing Japanese Strat with upgraded hardware, perfect for players looking for vintage looks with modern performance.
