Video Features 100% maple shells The Maple series shells are made from 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. The highest priority in designing Polmuz drums was sound. Balanced midrange and high tones provide great versatility across many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells was achieved through carefully selected maple layers, as well as a focus on shell forming and edge shape. Edges The 45° bearing edge ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is a pure tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms produce fast attack and short decay, while rounded edges on bass drums generate unique warm vintage tone. Finish The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and exceptional sound. The lacquer used on Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. Tube Lug Tube Lug lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full frequency range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each has double security with metal and nylon washers, guaranteeing tuning stability. Chrome hardware In Polmuz drums all hardware is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the unfortunate reputation of the brand from years past. Cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made from solid brass and chrome plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and trademark of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum. Mounting System The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure reduced weight. Bass Drum Hooks The hooks on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, hooks and rims form one cohesive whole so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning. Heads The drums feature clear, single-ply quality struck heads. Bass drum heads additionally feature a wide muffler collar. Resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.
