About this listing
Open Box: This product has been opened for quality control or showcase, but it is in brand new condition. Full warranty applies. The Blackstar ID:X Floor Two is an amp modeler and multi-effects unit for electric, bass and acoustic guitar with a built-in expression pedal. It carries the full ID:X Floor sound engine: 12 guitar amp models, three bass amps, two acoustic voices and an acoustic simulator, with more than 30 effects in four blocks. The pedal works as volume, wah or a custom control, two footswitches step through 99 patches, and a third handles tap tempo and the tuner.
Amp Models
Six guitar voices are Blackstar's own, drawn from the St. James, Artisan, HT Club and Series One amps. The other six are Ampton models, component-level recreations of a 1969 Twin Reverb, a pre-production Vox AC30, a late-1960s Marshall Super Lead, a Marshall JCM800 2203, the red channel of a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and a 1992 Peavey 5150. A Response switch gives the guitar voices the feel of EL84, EL34 or 6L6 power tubes, and the bass voices get Linear, 6550 and 6L6 settings. The patented ISF control sweeps the EQ between a tight American character and a looser British one.
Expression Pedal
An EXP Mode button cycles the pedal between Volume, Wah and Custom, and a toe switch turns it on and off. Volume can sit before the preamp or at the end of the chain, and Wah has Classic and Modern types. In Custom mode the pedal takes over any continuous amp or effect parameter, such as reverb mix, delay time or amp treble.
Connections
Stereo XLR outputs go straight to a mixer or stage box, and the 1/4-inch stereo output feeds headphones or full-range speakers. CabRig handles the speaker and mic simulation on those outputs, with six Blackstar cabinets, three mic types and Blackstar's In The Room algorithm. The To Amp output skips CabRig for use with an external power amp and a guitar cabinet. Over USB-C the unit works as an audio interface, sending CabRig left and right, the dry guitar and the preamp signal to your computer, and the free Architect software handles deeper editing and patch sharing. MIDI In takes program and control change messages from an external controller for patch changes and effect switching.
