This u89i was designed as the follow-up to the ubiquitous u87. And it shows because this beautiful mic was more versatile, smaller and with higher quality sound due to the parts used and the electronic design.

This microphone has a great capsule and might even sound better or at least more versatile than an original U 87 :-)
The electronics are all original and found fully working. All the switches work so you can alternate between pick-up patterns, there's two low cut filters (80 Hz and 160 Hz) and a dB-pad (-6dB).
The body is in great condition, except for a small dent on the main body. But no major damage or anything that influences the sound of this great mic.
This microphone has serial number #3081 and is probably from 1982. The wooden case that comes with it does not have matching serials but is intended for the U89 so it fits snuggly. And it looks in mint condition.

We always ship well packed, secure and fully insured.
