BUILD & DESIGN
The M58 N(C) features a long, slim metal body with satin silver finish and an elongated black steel mesh grille, designed to reduce wind noise and provide generous protection to the capsule. It’s finely weighted and extremely well balanced in the hand. The mic was designed to survive years of rough outdoor use, with a solid die-cast body, internal shock-mounting, and resistance to handling noise. The N(C) version adds a low impedance balanced output, and is wired with a standard 3-pin XLR connector.

SOUND CHARACTERISTICS
The M58 N(C) sounds open and natural — its omnidirectional pickup pattern gives it a wonderfully even frequency response and freedom from proximity effect. Unlike many dynamic mics, the high end remains detailed and articulate, and there's no harshness even on bright sources. For voice, the tone is clear, direct, and true-to-life. In the studio, it can double as a room mic or overhead, while outdoors it excels in speech capture with minimal wind interference. The handling noise rejection is excellent, thanks to its internal suspension system.
