1960s Slingerland Artist Model Snare Drum – White Marine Pearl

A true classic from the 1960s, this Slingerland Artist Model snare drum features the iconic White Marine Pearl finish. For decades, this model has been highly regarded for its exceptional musicality, open tone, and wide dynamic range.

The Artist Model series was designed for drummers seeking a versatile, "breathing" instrument that responds naturally to every nuance, offering full control over articulation. The solid maple shell provides signature warmth, depth, and excellent projection, while the Zoomatic strainer ensures precise and stable snare tension adjustment.

Notably, solid maple shells are rarely found at this price point today; this type of construction is now typically reserved for significantly more expensive, high-end boutique instruments. This makes this specific drum a rare combination of vintage craftsmanship, premium sound quality, and great value.

Sonically, it is a perfect fit for Jazz, Soul, and Blues, but it performs equally well in Rock or studio sessions where a natural tone and clear dynamic articulation are essential.
