1961 Fender Harvard Amp Tweed 5F10 – Narrow Panel

We present an exceptionally clean and all original 1961 Fender Harvard Amp Tweed 5F10 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.

History

This rare example comes directly from its original owner here in feb 2026. It was purchased new in 1961, and has remained untouched ever since. It has never been serviced or modified, making it a true survivor from Fender’s golden era. Based on the serial number, this Harvard amplifier dates to early 1961 and represents one of the final examples shipped by Fender before the model was discontinued.

Positioned just below the Deluxe in output, the 5F10 features dual 6V6 power tubes and a single Jensen P10R 10″ Alnico speaker housed in a larger cabinet than the Champ or Princeton, delivering sweet tube saturation, dynamic response and rich harmonic bloom. Notably, the Harvard was the only Tweed-era Fender model that did not transition into the later Brownface or Blackface series, giving it a unique place in history.

Condition

Overall this awesome ’61 Harvard amp is in fantastic condition. The chrome control plate remains extremely clean with all original silkscreen lettering intact. The original lacquered tweed covering is extraordinarily well preserved and, quit remarkably. Even the original leather handle remains intact.

Originality

This amplifier retains its original and untouched 5F10 circuit, including the Triad power transformer, Schumacher output transformer and original Jensen P10R speaker.

It works and sounds fantastic; however, if regular use is intended, we recommend having it serviced. Since it remains completely factory-original, we leave the decision to the next owner.
