Rare A NOS 1963 PHILIPS 12AX7 ecc83 Heerlen factory label Holland I65 Amperex super STRONG Orange Hiwatt Marshall, preamp.

Here for sale a nice rare Philips Amperex 12AX7 ecc83 super strong with Adzam label. V1 grade.
It was made in the great Heerlen Factory, in Holland the third week of septembre in 1963.

I65 model with regular plate and regular ring getter.

This tube and is in most excellent like new NOS condition, sold as very few use and show tests results over full new specs.

The tube has been auditioned and tested for sound , noise and microphony , which proved to be all excellent !

I would give it a V1 grade :)

Very unique and detailed sound, astonishing and fantastic in high gain stage to get a more define and less muddy sound. Many vintage Marshall players love them even more than the more reknowed British Blackurn.
Sought after by audiophile also and pro recording studio for their uncomparable 3D midrange ( Wich is subtlely more pronounced than Blackburn ones) this makes it an outstanding tube for guitar and vocal . It Has good bass and sweet pleasant highs too.

The Jackson 648. It is definitely one of my favorite tube testers. While it does not employ a mutual conductance test circuit, it does use an advanced emission circuit that applies separate element voltages to each tube element, and separate load circuits are also used. “These voltages and loads have been carefully selected for each tube to meet most ideally the normal operating condition of the tube.” (Source: 1950 Jackson catalog.)

In my experience, the Jackson circuitry is very effective, and often will surprise you with accuracy that approaches Hickok’s coveted “mutual conductance” test method. ( Source tubesound web site.)
