This particular DS-1 is a rare, very early Taiwan-made specimen (maybe sort of a production test run), with the same exact insides as the Japan-made DS-1. It's got the smoother gain range and better headroom that today's DS-1s just cannot match.
Very good, clean condition (aside from a bit of vintage dust in the battery compartment), with normal signs of use considering its age.
