As part of the new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection, it takes inspiration from the original Gibson Hummingbird, a square shouldered dreadnought known for its full-bodied voice with sweet trebles and enhanced low-end but with a cutaway for easier access to the higher frets.

The Hummingbird Studio EC features a square shoulder dreadnought body crafted from layered mahogany back and sides, and a solid spruce top. It has a rich, balanced tone with excellent projection which makes it a versatile choice for any genre.

The Mahogany neck is joined to the body with a glued-in tapered dovetail joint, and features a rounded c neck profile. This profile is super comfortable and feels great in your hands, ensuring easy playability. It also features a 12" radius rosewood fingerboard equipped with 20 standard frets, a 24.75" scale length, a 43mm nut width, and traditional pearloid split parallelogram inlays.

The Hummingbird Studio EC keeps the classic look of the original with its iconic tortoise pickguard featuring hummingbird graphic, Grover rotomatic tuners and a sixties Kalamazoo style headstock with mother of pearl details. It also features a rosewood 'belly-up' bridge with a compensated saddle for accurate intonation.
