Tyrol Double Bass. Flatback. Built around 1880. Professional instrument. Rarely offered. There is no label on the bass, but is estimated by many bass experts to be around 1880. The bass has been restored by, among others, Jørn Nielsen Copenhagen during its long bass life. The neck is relatively thin, and fits a smaller hand. Fantastic tone and bottom. Has participated in countless concerts and recordings. The bass has been played professionally by Royal Danish Orchestra musician Jens Axel Hamann Jakobsen. Royal Danish Orchestra 1957-1980. Since then has been privately owned. The bass is set up with new Evah Pirazzi strings, new bridge and string holder. Contact us if this master instrument should interest you.
