This unit is fully operational, clean, and ready to integrate directly into modern studio setups. All original replaced parts are included for purists or future restoration!

Why the Akai S1000HD?

Released in 1988, the Akai S1000 set the gold standard for professional sampling. Renowned for its punchy 16-bit / 44.1 kHz converters, warm output stage, and distinctive time-stretching algorithm (heard across classic '90s Hip-Hop, Jungle, House, and Electronic records), the S1000 delivers a presence and character that software plugins simply cannot replicate.

The "HD" version features the upgraded heavy-duty internal mounting frame and dedicated power supply routing, making it the premier chassis for internal SCSI/SD emulators like ZuluSCSI. This mounting frame was removed, but it is included as part of the purchase. See photos.

Condition & Power Technicals:

• Voltage: 220V Native Power (Ideal for European, UK, Australian, and Asian studios without needing a voltage transformer. US/Canadian buyers will require a step-up transformer).

• Functional Condition: 100% Fully Operational. All buttons, softkeys, data encoder knobs, inputs, main stereo outputs, individual voice outputs, and MIDI In/Out/Thru have been tested and work properly.

• Cosmetic Condition: Very clean front panel with light rack rash on top/bottom panels consistent with standard studio use. Please review photos for exact cosmetic condition. The cursor and data knobs have a few scratches but nothing impeding their function.
