The PT-900 Phase Tone was the first effect pedal officially distributed internationally by Ibanez. The Phase Tone is based on the MXR Phase 90 and—similar to the original—can produce a slightly overdriven character when used with humbucker pickups.

The example offered here is the second version (with the “Phase Tone” label printed below the Ibanez logo) and features a revised circuit with reduced distortion.
