Few electric guitars can be described as classic or legendary as the Les Paul model from American manufacturer Gibson. The 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Washed Cherry Sunburst is a historically authentic reissue model from the Gibson Custom Shop, which returns to the 1958 design. The solid mahogany body is decorated with a two-piece maple top (plain maple) and a VOS Washed Cherry Sunburst color finish. The special VOS (Vintage Original Specs) finish gives the guitar an authentic look and feel of the originals. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two frets (Historic Gibson Narrow/Tall) is glued to the mahogany neck. Position blocks (Aged Cellulose Nitrate Trapezoid) make it easy to navigate the surface of the fingerboard.

The sound of the instrument is provided by two Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers. Two volume potentiometers, two tone diaphragms and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the fastening of the strings in the Kluson Single Line tuners and through the ABR-1 bridge in the tailpiece. The period authenticity is underlined by all the materials/components used and their processing. The guitar is delivered in a case together with a certificate of authenticity.
