📝 Description:

This rare DW Collector’s Series 16” x 10” Ballad Snare Drum delivers a huge, fat snare sound and also works surprisingly well as a floor tom or hybrid “snom” in creative setups.

The size and construction provide a deep, warm tone with plenty of low-end punch. Whether you’re tuning it low for that ballad snare vibe or using it as a secondary tom, this drum offers serious versatility.

🥁 Condition & Heads:

The drum is in excellent condition, both visually and functionally, with only minor signs of use.

It’s currently fitted with a two-ply Aquarian batter head, which gives it a big, fat snare tone and makes it flexible for use as a snare or floor tom. A Remo Ambassador head will also be included, in case you’re looking for a slightly more open, articulate sound.

If you intend to use it primarily as a floor tom/snom, I’d personally recommend sticking with two-ply heads and some added dampening (e.g., a ring or Moongel), as thinner heads tend to make it sound a bit too snare-like in that context.

💬 Why I’m Selling:

I’m only letting it go because I recently built a similar drum in the matching finish of my main kit. Otherwise, I would absolutely keep it – it’s a fantastic and inspiring drum with lots of personality.
