The Line 6 Otto Filter is a dynamic filter effect pedal from the ToneCore series, offered here as the filter module fitted in a mono ToneCore dock. The inclusion of the mono dock means this unit is ready to use as a complete, standalone pedal.
The Otto Filter responds to the dynamics of the playing, producing classic envelope-style filter sounds that range from tight, funky squelches to smooth, vowel-like sweeps. It offers three filter models: a Band Pass state-variable filter, a Low Pass ladder filter, and a custom Line 6 Twin filter, each with its own distinct character. Three controls, Sensitivity, Range, and Peak, allow the effect to be precisely matched to the instrument and playing style: Sensitivity determines how strongly the filter reacts to picking dynamics, Range sets the frequency span across which the filter travels, and Peak shapes the intensity of the resonance at the cutoff point.
The pedal is well suited to funk-inspired rhythm parts, experimental textures, and expressive lead work where the filter reacts directly to the strength of the attack.
