About this listing
Looking for a machine to produce an entire album without staring at a computer screen? The Yamaha RM1x isn't just another vintage groovebox—it’s an absolute sequencing monster. The sheer depth of its step-sequencer, grid-editing, micro-timing, and real-time control features still puts many modern, overhyped DAWless boxes to shame. If you want to make tracks with that authentic late-90s/early-2000s hardware grit, you’ve come to the right place. What makes this specific unit special?Custom big main knob: Let’s be honest—the stock encoder wheel can feel a bit small and fiddly. I’ve upgraded this unit with a large, custom encoder knob, making menu diving and parameter tweaking smooth, precise, and infinitely more satisfying. Your fingertips will thank you!Bright & sharp display: The screen lights up nice and bright with excellent contrast. No dead pixels, no dimming, no squinting in dark studio environments.100% fully functional: All buttons, pads, knobs, outputs, and the floppy drive work exactly as they should.Cosmetic condition: It has been used and enjoyed, so it bears some light cosmetic battle scars (scuffs/scratches from honest studio use). But hey - it’s a workhorse built for making music, not a museum piece, and the slight patina only adds to its retro street cred! It was used with love and respect ;).Free Bonus Package Included:10 Floppy Disks (3.5") – Ready for your own patterns, tracks, and sound setups. Pure nostalgia! My own custom compositions – I’m leaving a collection of my original tracks, sequences, and sketches loaded on the disks. Use them for inspiration, remix material, or just as a fun preview of what this machine can actually do right out of the box! What’s Included:Yamaha RM1x Sequence RemixerPower supply (replacement, but solid)10 flippy disks as a gift (to keep more creative treasures)Will be packed like a tank to ensure safe delivery anywhere in the world.Got questions or want extra pictures? Drop me a message! Time to give this classic a great new home in your setup.
