C.F. Martin 000-28EC Crossroads — 2013 — Madagascar Rosewood — #1710832150 guitars. That is the complete worldwide production of this instrument — 75 for the US, 75 for the rest of the world. They were spoken for almost immediately on release in 2013 and have rarely surfaced on the secondary market since. If you have been looking for one, the chances are this is the first you have seen available in years.The 2013 Crossroads edition was built in the Martin Custom Shop to coincide with Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, with a portion of proceeds benefiting his Crossroads Centre addiction treatment charity. The back and sides are Madagascar rosewood from Martin's special reserve — a wood widely regarded as the closest substitute for Brazilian rosewood in terms of glassy definition and harmonic complexity. The top is Carpathian spruce with aged toner. Style 42 snowflake fingerboard inlays, herringbone top inlay, grained ivoroid binding, the Crossroads symbol inlaid in mother of pearl on the headplate, and Clapton's signature inlaid in the fretboard between the 19th and 20th frets. The soft V neck profile at 1-3/4" nut width is the neck Clapton has always asked for. The soundhole label is hand-signed by both Eric Clapton and C.F. Martin IV.In very good condition.
