Gibson's 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS is as close as you can get to a perfectly preserved 1960 Les Paul Standard, all without the vintage tax and setup nightmares. This iconic single-cut is a perfect reproduction of the Standard with its slim neck and burst finish, as it was sold in stores in its farewell year. The premium tonewoods (mahogany/maple/rosewood) and hand-wired electronics are the same recipe that inspired catalogs of hits and generations of guitarists—from Clapton to McCartney—around the world. Historic features include PAF Custombucker Alnico III pickups with CTS paper-in-oil pots, a glued-in 1960 Slim Taper neck, and vintage-style Kluson single-string tuners. A period-correct VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish completes the package.
