The Whale or Black Whale tenor ukulele from aNueNue is a very special model from the manufacturer. With a double top construction made of maple and cedar, the instrument sounds wonderfully loud, clear and has a great quick response. This type of top construction is normally only found on classical guitars of the highest quality. Visually, this instrument is also a real feast for the eyes: in keeping with the “whale” and ocean theme, it is finished in a wonderful dark blue with fine and elaborate inlays by designer Kyas Ryo. The back and sides of the ukulele are made from the best quality Indian rosewood, while the top of grained maple looks as visually impressive and fitting as waves on the ocean. One of the best tenor ukuleles we have ever played!

The world-renowned manufacturer of ukuleles and guitars aNueNue, which means rainbow, was founded in Taiwan in 2008. The instruments are designed in Tawain by August Liao and Johnson, with production taking place in China.

In 2020, aNueNue USA was finally added, founded by Kalei Gamiao and Corey Fujimoto and based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
