Ibanez RBM1-BK 1991 (Black, first year)

Up for sale is an original 1991 Ibanez RBM1 which was the first-year Reb Beach signature model, made in Japan by FujiGen.

Specs:

  • Mahogany body
  • Bolt-on maple neck
  • 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays
  • HSS configuration (humbucker + two single coil-sized humbuckers)
  • Double locking tremolo (Edge on 1991 models)
  • 5-way selector + coil split

Pickup note:
The bridge pickup is not an HB-2, however it has the exact same wire materials and color coding as the middle and neck pickups. Best bet it could be a predecessor to the HB-2 used here, but this cannot be confirmed from available documentation.

Condition:

Frets in excellent condition

Small ding

Hairline crack at the neck pocket

Belt rash (see pictures)

Includes hardcase.

A rare early example of the RBM1 - especially from the first production year (1991).
