Avid Pro Tools | MTRX Studio is an all-in-one professional audio interface combining extensive I/O, flexible routing, monitor control and integrated speaker processing for music and post-production studios.

Developed by Avid in partnership with Digital Audio Denmark, Pro Tools | MTRX Studio brings high-quality conversion, monitoring and studio routing into a compact 1U interface. Designed around DAD technology, it provides a central connection point for microphones, outboard equipment, monitoring systems and networked audio, while integrating closely with Pro Tools environments.

MTRX Studio offers extensive analog and digital connectivity, including Dante, DigiLink and ADAT. Its flexible architecture makes it possible to consolidate several studio functions into a single unit, simplifying signal flow and reducing the need for separate routing and monitoring hardware.

At the heart of the system is DADman software, providing a powerful 512 x 512 routing matrix. Any MTRX Studio input can be routed to any available output, allowing signals to move freely between analog, digital, Dante and DigiLink connections. With 64 channels of Dante, MTRX Studio can also handle networked cue mixes, communication between rooms and routing to multiple devices.

Monitoring functionality is integrated directly into the interface. DADman enables custom monitor profiles, speaker-set switching and fold-down configurations, with control available from the software or compatible Avid control surfaces. This makes MTRX Studio equally suitable for traditional stereo rooms and larger multi-channel monitoring environments.

Built-in SPQ speaker processing provides room and speaker calibration without requiring a separate external processor. The system can be configured for different monitoring formats, from mono and stereo through surround and immersive setups, making MTRX Studio particularly well suited to facilities working across music, post-production and Dolby Atmos.

For Pro Tools systems, MTRX Studio provides ultra-low latency monitoring when used with Pro Tools | HDX or HD Native. Combined with DAD conversion and microphone preamplification, it provides a complete studio hub for recording, mixing, monitoring and complex audio routing.
