It shows hardly any signs of use and only has a small finish crack at the neck pocket – a purely cosmetic flaw that is not unusual on bolt-on Fender necks. The hardware is also in very nice condition.The Modern C neck with its comfortable satin finish feels fantastic in the hand and offers excellent playability. Tonally, it does exactly what you would expect from a good Tele: clear, direct, punchy and with that unmistakable Tele twang. In short – it simply works.The factory fretwork, however, was not quite up to the standard we like to see. We therefore carefully leveled, recrowned and polished the frets and then gave the guitar a complete setup.
