About this listing
1990 Fender Order Made JB75-75 Jazz Bass, in fully painted white finish with gold hardware. It is likely based on the custom all-white Jazz Basses of Hojin Egawa (who would receive an official artist model several years after this was produced). It is also very similar to the Moon JJ basses used and endorsed by Larry Graham. These fully-painted models highlight the fact different finishes were used on the necks and bodies during this era, with the body having yellowed more than the neck.It also features a two-piece center seam ash body, which is rare, especially for a bass with a solid finish.Manufactured at the FujiGen factory in Japan. “I” serial prefix and “0” pot stamps date the instrument to 1990.100% fully functional without issue.ConditionCosmetically the 35 year old instrument is in good shape, with dings, scratches, patina, and finish wear commensurate with age/play. Large finish chip near forearm contour that has been professionally sealed by a luthier to prevent further chipping. Gold hardware has patina. Pickguard has pick markings from play.Frets have some wear, but plays great with no buzzing/fretting out/etc. Back of the neck is in good shape with a few minor dings. Small nick in binding at second fret. Fretboard has some minor dings in the higher register.
