Here for sale we have an Epiphone Riviera P93 semi-hollow electric guitar in Wine Red finish. Made in China in 2015 this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is equipped with Nickel hardware including a LockTone Tune-O-Matic adjustable bridge and an aftermarket trapeze tailpiece, along with a set of Wilkinson 14:1 tuning machines. A trio of Epiphone P-90 pickups are installed, these are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume controls & master tone control. 

The Mahogany neck plays well, with the SlimTaper ‘D’ profile feeling substantial yet comfortable in the hand and offering easy fretting in any register. The Gloss finish to the rear feels pleasant to the touch and aids easy transitions up and down the neck, whilst the 12” Rosewood fingerboard and Medium Jumbo frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers, enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The semi-hollow construction makes this guitar easy on the shoulders on long gigs, and the smooth lines of the body ensure that this is a comfortable guitar to play in either standing or seated positions. 

The semi-hollow construction of this guitar means that it resonates and sustains very well. It produces an airy tone with an unpronounced yet well defined low end, detailed upper midrange and sparkly high frequencies. The trio of Alnico-V P90 dog ear pickups sound fantastic, offering a far hotter output than your typical single coil pickup but still retaining a more raw and punchy sound than a Humbucker. These pickups combined with the resonant sound of the semi-hollow Maple body and Bigsby make this an incredibly versatile instrument, suitable for a wide range of styles and players.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild scratching and indentation, the most apparent indentation can be seen to the bass side edge towards to tip, this has lightly pierced the finish but does not expose the wood beneath. The most apparent scratching is present to the rear faces towards to top edge and scattered across the front face, these can only be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild scratching is present across the rear of the neck, the most apparent of these can be seen with the naked eye and can be felt slightly in the playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. A screw hole is present to the front face, with this light imprints are also present near the screw holes, these are from a Bigsby that was previously installed. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching and indentations, the most apparent indentation can be seen to the front face bass side lower bout. The most apparent scratching can be seen to the treble side lower bout of the front face and scattered throughout the rear face, these can only be seen under direct light.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability.  There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. The original Bigsby tailpiece has bee swapped for a trapeze tailpiece, the Bigsby is not included. All aspects of the metal hardware display light to mild signs of tarnishing. The pickup covers and pick guard display light scratching.  

Structural: No concerns  or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
