Here for sale we have a PRS Sunburst 245 Electric Guitar in Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2009, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body with a Figured Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a PRS Stoptail bridge, Vintage Style tuners, and a set of PRS 57/08 Humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Mahogany neck plays superbly well, with the 'Wide Fat' profile offering a smooth, responsive and articulate paying experience in all registers. Certainly, the profile is well suited to lead players as it is slim enough for fast melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 24.5" scale, and the single cutaway body design with signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, its 10" radius feeling practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst the attractive and unique Abalone inlays add a touch of luxury to the playing experience.
The pair of PRS 57/08 humbucker pickups sound thick and raw, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp nicely. The neck pickup is full sounding and warm, whilst the midrange is perfectly balanced and easily cuts through any mix. The bridge has a hotter output, it produces a biting tone which easily cuts through the mix for those rock rhythm sounds and has a great harmonic register. The independent volume and tone controls offer comprehensive control of your sound, feeling very responsive to small changes.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. The treble side top corner of the front face demonstrates an indentation that has removed the finish and reveals the wood beneath. Toward the bass side corner of the front face, a small area of residue is visible under direct light at certain angles that could not be removed during our cleaning process. This cannot be felt by the fingertips on inspection and is in no way raised or sticky, purely cosmetic.
Neck: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. A very small indentation is apparent to the rear of the neck, near the headstock joint. None of these markings can be felt beneath the strings or by the hand in playing position.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light to mild scratching and indentation. Most notably indentation at the bass side shoulder of the front face that has pierced the finish and reveals the wood beneath. The sides demonstrate mild scratching and indentations, notably at the lower bouts treble side edge, near the binding and at the rear face edge near the waist.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
