With a pair of hand-picked NOS BC183 transistors, the SolidGoldFX If 6 Was 9 aims to recapture the magic of the late '60s/early /'70s Fuzz Face circuit. But it isn't just for nostalgia.
The pedal can do a lot more than a Fuzz Face ever could, with an external bias control to dial in your sweet spot on the gated-smooth spectrum and a two-way bass cut "tone" switch. Cut through the mix with it on or create a boomy wall of fuzz with it off. All settings clean up impeccably well by rolling off your guitar's volume.
