Up for sale is a rare, vintage Sonor Lite 14" (Diameter) x 12" (Depth) rack tom in the highly collectible Graphite Lacquer (GL) finish. ✔️
Proudly made in Western Germany in May 1984 (factory date stamp inside the shell). ✔️
This drum is in very good+(near Excellent) condition and is 100% all-original. No modifications, no extra holes, and no swapped parts. ( Only one time work with better badge fixed with one badge, for better sound). ✔️
Sonor Lite series drums from this golden era are legendary for their premium Scandinavian Birch shells (9-ply, 6mm for toms), offering an incredibly warm, focused, and resonant tone with massive low-end punch. ✔️
Condition & Details:
Shell: 100% original Scandinavian Birch. The internal wood look very good +, the bearing edges are factory-sharp, and the drum tunes up flawlessly. ✔️
Finish: The Graphite Lacquer is in beautiful shape, holding a deep piano-black mirror shine with only minimal, very light cosmetic surface wear consistent with careful use over the years ( only 1-2 scratches). Please see pictures ✔️
Hardware: 100% original chrome hardware in excellent , clean condition. All iconic Sonor slotted tension rods are present and turn smoothly ( oiled). Massive heavy-duty lugs and hoops show only short significant pitting / NO rust. ✔️
Heads: Complected very good heads ✔️
This is a great opportunity for serious collectors or players looking to expand an existing 1984 Sonor Lite kit with a rare, unmodified 14"x12" component. ✔️
