I am offering a Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH from 2023, a made in Indonesia Telecaster model featuring an ultra-light mahogany body (2.41 kg total weight!), impressive flamed maple top, set mahogany neck with Modern “C” neck profile and 41.3 mm nut width, bound Indian laurel fingerboard with 15.75’’ radius and 22 jumbo frets, two versatile Seymour Duncan humbuckers with push/pull coil tap in the tone control, 6-piece Fender string-through hardtail bridge and Kluson Vintage Locking tuners (upgrade) in a brilliant amber high-gloss finish with chrome hardware in excellent condition, including Fender gigbag and professional setup with 10-gauge Ernie Ball strings.
The Custom Telecaster FMT HH combines the classic Telecaster shape with modern features and a significantly expanded tonal range. The combination of a mahogany body and a curved maple top creates an instrument with a unique character that clearly stands out from traditional Telecaster models.
Sonically, the combination of a Seymour Duncan SH-1n ‘59 at the neck and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates at the bridge offers an extremely versatile range. The neck humbucker delivers warm, open, and dynamic sounds with plenty of transparency, while the Pearly Gates at the bridge impresses with powerful mids, harmonic richness, and high cut-through. Thanks to the integrated push/pull coil tap, you can also access slimmer, wire-like single-coil-style sounds, making the guitar incredibly versatile stylistically.
The set-in mahogany neck with a modern “C” profile, combined with the shallow 15.75” radius and jumbo frets, ensures a very comfortable and fast playing feel. Soloists and modern players in particular benefit from the low string action and direct response.
A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.
Weighing just 2.41kg, the guitar is exceptionally light and a pleasure to play on stage as well as in the studio or rehearsal room.
Visually, the Telecaster impresses with its elegantly grained bird’s-eye maple top and transparent amber finish, which beautifully highlights the grain. Elegant details such as the abalone dot fretboard inlays and single-layer cream binding around the body and neck round out the overall look.
A modern and versatile Telecaster interpretation featuring high-quality Seymour Duncan pickups, excellent playability, and exceptionally low weight.
