The Technics SL-P1200 is THE legend among professional CD players — the CD counterpart to the mythical SL-1200 MK2 turntable. Designed for radio studios, broadcast control rooms and professional DJs, this 14.5 kg player is built like a tank and sounds accordingly. It equipped the world's biggest radio stations for over a decade.
The Concorde cockpit-style top control panel provides instant access to all functions: 2-speed Jog/Shuttle dial for cueing to 1/10th of a second precision, ±8% pitch control in true SL-1200 fashion, auto-cue to audio (not to track start, but to the first sound), rocker buttons for real-time 1/10th second advance/delay. The "Music Matrix" display instantly shows programmed tracks.
On the audio side, Technics integrated its Class AA circuits in the analog output stages, with dual Burr-Brown PCM54HP 16-bit converters. Dual transformer power supply (separate digital and audio), 4 x 3,300 µF dedicated audio capacitors, and independent left/right power supply circuits. The die-cast alloy chassis with TNRC material (Technics Non-Resonant Compound) and rubber isolation ensure total vibration decoupling.
Good overall condition with some cosmetic marks from flightcase use. Works perfectly.
