Dual Inputs & Dual Outputs

The DB-EAST offers unprecedented flexibility with two separate inputs and outputs.

"I've waited 40 years for this!" Nathan East.

"Every amp only has one input—why? I'll never know. But this has two and two separate outputs so that the front-of-house engineer or anyone mixing the room can have each instrument separately."

The DB-EAST features 2 LA·IR equipped DI outs. Each input is routed through the preamp to its own dedicated DI out. The DI out is switched automatically when you switch the DB-EAST's input.

This gives you complete flexibility when it comes to using multiple basses.

Switchable & Blendable FET & TUBE Preamp Stages

Building on Laney's DIGBETH legacy, the DB-EAST features a unique preamp section that allows players to mix TUBE warmth with FET clarity.

Precision Tone Control

The amp boasts a 3-band EQ with a parametric mid-section and Laney's innovative Tilt function.

East explains,

"Let's start with the funk setting—where I like to scoop the mids. This is sort of the setting I use when it comes to a little bit of funk."

LA·IR DI Output System

Equipped with Laney's LA·IR technology, the DB-EAST comes pre-loaded with Nathan's favourite cabinet impulse responses.

"The DB-EAST is LA·IR-equipped and comes loaded with two of my favourite IRs—the 2x12s and the 4x10s." East shares.

The DB-EAST features a socket compatible with USB-C™ for connecting to the LA·IR APP, but it also supports audio in/out, so you can use it directly into your favourite DAW, making it super convenient for recording silently.
