Designed and hand-built in Cologne, Germany, the Silver Machine evolved continuously from its original late-1990s design, with the Export MKII representing the most refined and fully featured version of the series.

This pedal has been used exclusively in a professional smoke-free recording studio and remains in excellent working condition. The AutoMagic sensor operates perfectly.

Far Beyond a Traditional Wah

Rather than recreating a vintage wah circuit, MSD developed a completely original concept centred around its patented AutoMagic Revolution Sensor. Simply placing your foot on the treadle activates the effect instantly—no need to press through a mechanical footswitch. The result is an exceptionally fast, natural and fluid playing experience.

The footswitch can also latch the effect permanently, allowing the pedal to function as a fixed filter or mid-boost—one of the defining features introduced with the later MKII generation.

Remarkable Tonal Flexibility

The Export MKII offers far more than conventional wah sounds. Combining the Earth and Quake controls provides 12 distinct filter configurations, ranging from classic vintage wah tones to aggressive rock textures, funky filter effects and experimental sounds. The Classic/Modern mode further expands its capabilities by allowing either a pure wah signal or a blend of dry and effected sound, with internal trim controls for effect mix and output level.
