No battery cover or power adaptor although the batteries hold in well without it so it was never an issue for us and shouldn't be for you as well. Adaptor can be easily replaced. There's a ton of vids on youtube that demonstrate the enormous and epic potential of this wild beast. A truly unique and awesome synth and sampler that'll being you endless hours of pure bliss.
