About this listing
The NS Wav is an excellent entry-level electric violin. It served me well for years. It has nice tone, very lightweight, and what weight there is is concentrated at the shoulder end, where it's well supported, because due to the reversed-string design there are no tuners at the other end. This is the basic model with the passive pickup, which is nice because there's no battery to replace, and trust me, there's plenty of level. Absolutely zero feedback issues no matter how loud you crank it up. The one thing I'll honestly disclose about these instruments is that the shoulder pad takes a little getting used to. It attaches with a metal post that fits into a socket on the instrument, and is then held in place with a finger-tightened set screw. The reality is that if you move around very much when you play, the shoulder pad doesn't stay completely in place; no matter how much you tighten the set screw, it will still twist a little bit. It never bothered me, but it does bother some people. That's not a defect in the instrument; it happened just as much when it was brand-new. It's just how they're designed.
