A rare find: a 1968 Marshall Superbass with serial number 10758.
No replica, no fake. The real deal — a hand-wired, point-to-point plexi Marshall. From the golden era, and possibly from their very best year. Not without reason the amp for guitarists like Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Johnson, John Frusciante, Paul Kossoff, etc.
Some capacitators have been replaced and one of the transformers is replaced by a det 4145. The rest is in its original form, including the famous mustard capacitors. At some point, the renowned Van Weelden professionally installed a master volume. Not original, but very useful for taming this beast. Installed in a reversible way. See the last two photos.
In addition, it has always been professionally serviced.
With nearly 60 years under its belt, it’s starting to show some wear. The logo is missing (period-correct replacements can be found online), and the tolex is tattered at places. It still works perfectly!
This is a piece of history and an opportunity to get your hands on a holy grail of amplification.
