The (very rare) Rothwell Heartbreaker, one of the most underrated and musical "Marshall-in-a-Box" pedals ever produced. Unlike many modern high-gain pedals that sound fizzy or compressed, the Heartbreaker was designed to emulate the power amp distortion of a classic plexi.
This pedal comes from the era when Rothwell was gaining massive traction for their unique multi-stage class-A circuitry. It doesn't use standard clipping diodes to create distortion; instead, it uses cascaded gain stages that react exactly like a tube amp. The tone controls consist of a sophisticated EQ that shifts the character of the pedal from "Bluesbreaker" warmth to "JCM800" bite.
It cleans up beautifully with your guitar’s volume knob.
Solid UK construction with high-quality components designed to last a lifetime and true bypass switching.
Includes original box and paperwork.
