Here is a beautiful blonde Gibson Hummingbird from 1968.
There is something magical about those Hummingbirds from the sixties. From Bob Dylan to Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, which famous guitarist didn't play it?
This Hummingbird has been played a lot and with good reason. We have had a few Hummingbirds in the shop over the last year and this in our opinion a really good one! It sounds very open, warm and balanced. A guitar with great character and history !
Specifications:
- Serial number: 940517
- Headstock : Original tuners with beautiful keystone buttons. Crown peghead pearl inlay. Pearl Gibson logo
- Original finish
- Mahogany neck topped with a bound rosewood fretboard with double parallellogram inlays. The action is very good, excellent playability, no need for neck reset. Frets are in very good condition. It has the wider nut width of 41 mm (not 39,5 or 40 mm).
- Spruce top with a few glued cracks - and a few dings and scratches
- Original Hummingbird engraved , screwed-on pickguard. The screws are typical for a 1968 model.
- Original Rosewood ADJ bridge with adjustable saddle
- Mahogany back & sides (crack free)
- Pickup installed making the guitar ready for the stage
- Comes with the original Gibson hard shell case
