The Sterling Mariposa, Omar Rodríguez-López’s signature model, is a guitar that perfectly balances simplicity with boldness. Its striking design features two humbuckers, individual volume controls for each pickup, and no tone knobs. This setup delivers extra brightness, punch, and clarity while maintaining impressive tonal versatility.

The guitar is in virtually brand-new condition. It has never left the house and has only been played four or five times at most. I'm selling it solely because I need to downsize my guitar collection. Otherwise, I would definitely be keeping it.

One of its standout features is the ROASTED MAPLE NECK — incredibly smooth, fast, and comfortable, with the feel of an instrument from a much higher price range. The locking tuners also provide excellent tuning stability, allowing you to enjoy the tremolo with confidence.

A truly beautiful, distinctive, and inspiring guitar, built for players who appreciate character, creativity, and something a little different.
