Balanced mid and high frequencies provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple plies, as well as focus on shell formation and edge shape. Edges The 45° edge bevel ensures they make contact with the head at the optimal point. Each edge in Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge finish on toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while a rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone. Finish The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each kit a unique look and distinctive sound. The lacquer used to finish the Maple series drums by Polmuz is of the highest quality. Tube Lug Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug construction makes them look like traditional mounting hardware, but the lug "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of drum detuning, each features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Bass drum spurs The spurs on Polmuz drum sets are equipped with rubber pads that help protect the wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning. Heads Transparent, high-quality 1-ply struck heads are used on the drums. The batter heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.
